Hello~ everyone! I am Janice. I come from Taiwan. My hometown is Taichung. I am a senior student at Wenzao Ursuline University of Language in Kaohsiung. My major is a foreign language of instruction. My major is to learn how to teach English to students. Also, our department offers many opportunities for me to teach students in elementary school and junior high school, so we could enhance our teaching skills.

Our department cooperates with Santa Maria school for many years. This time is after the epidemic. I come from here because the school offers the chance and scholarships for us. The reason why I will come to Santa Maria is that I want to know more about different country education and enhance my English teaching and broaden my horizons. Also, I could introduce my country to students. 

I have gotten many experiences from junior high school in Santa Maria. I am glad that I meet Mr. Bernard to accompany me to go each class. When I taught in junior high school, the students were really passionated and respectful to me. They were interested in Taiwanese culture and enjoy doing the handmade. I really like to teach them because they let me feel that they really want to know different cultures.

What’s more, I am so surprised that students can speak Chinese to me. They were willing to talk to me and tried their best to interact with me. The most impressive is when I taught them to sing the Chinese song, they could sing with me. I am really astonished by it. I do really hope that students could know about Taiwan and they could come to visit Taiwan one day. 

In conclusion, I am so glad I had this experience in Santa Maria. Also, I appreciate Mr. Bernard let me know about Indonesian culture. I do not regret coming to Indonesia at all. Thank you to everyone who is really helping me. I enjoy everything here.
